This place opens late and closes early! Lol. But with fare as tasty as they have, they can get away with it! But seriously, some days the open sign just isn't on and I have to accept the fact that either I was too early or too late or there was another good reason I didn't know about. I still pass by to see when the feeling hits me.
Either way, when you need your fix of curry or jerk or other authentic jamaican food, this is the spot. Now, I will also say that prices have gone up in recent times, but that doesn't change the fact that there is a certain amount of this west Indian nourishment that is required to make it through a year/month.
Central location and second to none flavour. This elusive kitchen is wrapped in a modern jamaican styling and is a terrific food stop... if you can catch them at the right time -

Omg, this is the best Caribbean food in Edmonton....the service is fast and with a smile. I also enjoy how clean the restaurant is as well.

Went here for the first time with my friend today, did not know what to expect since there weren't any reviews on yelp. First thing I noticed was how clean and spacious the place was. The decor was super relaxing and inside smelled sooo good. I'm guessing they have a maximum amount of each dish to serve since my friend who ordered the oxtail couldn't make another order to go since they sold out. I had the jerk chicken and it was super soft, fell off the bone, and had the right amount of spice. My friends oxtail was also extremely good. We got Jamaican patties to go and are probably my favorite. Everything was seasoned well and had the perfect amount of heat where it didn't overpower the rest of the flavours. I will for sure be back!

Safron makes the most delicious Jamaican food! I'm from Florida and I've been to the islands quite a few times and the food here is comparable to what I've tried in the islands. The jerk chicken, oxtail and patties are excellent! If you love island food come here and you'll feel like you're eating a gourmet, home cooked meal. Highly recommend!
